So let me just tell you that about the sexiest thing a man can do is to say to me at 11:30pm at night “I’m hungry I think I will make us a Dutch Baby.” And then gets up and makes it and cleans up after himself. And holy moly that was a super yummy Dutch Baby. If you don’t know what it is it’s like a pancake meets popover. With a little butter and real maple syrup and you will weep happy tears.
I did not know what the greatest gift someone can give to me until last week. When a friend (a seriously awesome human being) got me a gift card for a cleaning. Not JUST a cleaning…this place specializes in DECLUTTERING. If you have ever had a house cleaner you know they don’t really declutter, they just clean around the clutter. We left things out on purpose (though it was a mess as well I won’t lie to you) to see what they could do. They also re-organized my kitchen cabinets and what not. It was insanely awesome.
Yeah, I know. Awesome.
Speaking of awesome I got to meet up with Susan (Doughmesstic) while she was out my way promoting her cookbook The S’mores Cookbook: From S’mores Stuffed French Toast to a S’mores Cheesecake Recipe, Treat Yourself to S’more of Everything(which I’ll be giving away later this week). We got to eat at Art which is in the Four Season’s Seattle (thanks to #Hershey’s). Much fun was had by all…and by all I mean me, Susan, Megan (Country CleaverΒ ) and Shelly (A Tier Above).
Oh and we got fresh cotton candy while we were there! It tasted like bubble gum!
So that’s my life lately….what’s new with you?

Oh that de-cluttering sounds like the best gift EVER!
Liz (formerly VeggieGirl) says
AWESOME de-cluttering gift and awesome friend, indeed. Also love the dutch baby from another awesome person in your life π
Kristi says
I would love someone to help me declutter. What a fabulous gift.

I need a week pass for decluttering! I’ll have to look that up and see if they have any in my area.

I’m much too OCD to let someone else declutter my space. I don’t mind cleaning stuff up myself, but when I have clutter, it’s organized clutter. This jumble is in its proper order, don’t anyone dare mess it up by cleaning up! π
Breakfast at midnight without any effort? That’s my kind of romance.

A good man who makes Dutch Baby’s at 11:30 PM and a friend who gifts you a decluttering. You are livin’ the dream …
Erin @ The Spiffy Cookie says
Well that’s all just awesome! Can I hire someone to write my dissertation for me? I have less than two weeks to finish and I’m freaking out.
Peabody says
Well @Erin the company does claim if its legal they can do it π
Adam says
Hmmm.. definitely going to have to earmark that dutch baby idea :).
Peabody says
Yes @Adam great pick up line π

Awesome post, girl! You are truly blessed. I don’t know what I would do without The Big Lug. He made dinner tonight…Greek Salad with homemade dressing and his Tricked Out Pizza. Feeling inundated (and, thus, behind) lately with work…cookbook, blog, trying to expand presence via Pinterest, etc. Never enough sleep. Almost missed an appointment today…my mind has reached sensory overload. (I can’t even keep up with Twitter lately, I swear!) He said, “Take the night off, relax and have fun at Pinterest. I’m making dinner for us.” Now if I could just get a decluttering crew over here, LOL! (I have cookbooks strewn all over the place and the house is a wreck.) Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend! xo

@stacy- he’s a keeper

Oh my gosh! I want that cleaner so badly! My mom is basically a mild hoarder. She likes to keep things that have absolutely no value, but she likes holding onto the memory of that particular object. While my dad and I were cleaning out the freezer before our move, we found 2 year old frozen soup…. :/
And that Dutch Baby looks yummy! I like to cook and bake and everything, but I want a man that will do that for me too haha π
