Oreo Frozen Whipped Cream Circles are perfect for entertaining as you make them ahead of time. Then they are ready for hot cocoa anytime.
It seems to really only be cool around these parts.
Which is fine because I like it cool.
But since it is cool that means it’s cider, hot tea, and hot chocolate time.
Almost always I go with hot chocolate.
Which honestly is odd considering I’m not a choco-holic.
But I do love me some hot chocolate.
Most people tend to like either marshmallows or whipped cream with their cocoa.
I happen to like both.
Though if I could only have one I would probably go whipped cream.
I usually have to go back midway through my cocoa and add more whipped cream.
Just call me Leslie Knope.
Not sure when I started making frozen whipped cream circles but they are a great idea for when you are entertaining.
I love to have a variety of flavors depending on the time of year.
One flavor that everyone can seem to agree on is Cookies and Cream.
So I made these Oreo Frozen Whipped Cream Circles.
I make my Cookies and Cream Hot Chocolate using actual Cookies and Cream ice cream melted down.
So yummy.
And as always it’s a great day to order my cookbook.

Wow, this definitely has me wishing for cold weather. I love this idea, and the possibilities are endless.
OK, I am off to to turn the one AC unit we have down to the lowest setting, because that’s the only way it would get that cold here. Hot chocolate here I come.

What a great idea! I always have the whip cream go south before I finish it, so this would be a good way to use it all up. It’s getting nippy at night and we actually had some frost on the windows in the mornings this week. I love a day that is beautiful and sunny and still sitting around 68º. Must admit though, I’m so ready for some rain.

Love your blog and haven’t been by in a while. I just noticed your frozen whipped cream and had to laugh it sounds wonderful. BUT..my thing with HC is too only half whip the cream so it’s still pretty pourable and then pour it over the back of a spoon. It will float atop the Choc. First you get the cold cream followed by luscious hot choc next. Rereading this I sound like a twit but seriously try it!! It’s amazing. Maybe add some caramel or choc shaving. Your a sweet genius and just wanted to share with you as a kindred spirit.

I just made these yesterday and my kids loved them! I used the same recipe but a somewhat different method.. Oh and i probably used more than 1/4 cup of oreos, but i didn’t measure so… Anyway, i crushed the oreos into crumbs and folded them into the whipped cream. I thought about piping the circles but i don’t currently own a large enough tip and i didnt want any unruly cookie chunks to clog up my smaller tips.. So i decided to spread an even layer over the sheet pan and then i used cookie cutters to cut out the circles. Worked great!!

Oops, please note that i froze the pan of whipped cream BEFORE i cut the circles.. Just thought i should mention it, in case anyone would happen to stumble upon this and then attempt to cut fresh whipped cream with cookie cutters…
